- Hazy and unfiltered
- Tropical and stonefruit aroma and flavour - peach, mango, apricot, melon, pineapple, lime, with fresh grassy and herbal notes.
- "Soft bitterness, a full and smooth mouthfeel, a malt base like custard creams "
Remarks
By running the maturing beer through a hop sock (a fine mesh used to capture only the big pieces of hop matter) we keep a lot of hops and yeast in suspension in the finished beer, giving the characteristic hazy appearance. These add to the body and also the bitterness, so despite having a low % of IBUs in the beer there is still some bite to balance the sweet malt character.
Description
An east coast style IPA, new to the craft beer scene, although the style is growing in popularity. Brewed with a 30 day shelf life, Hazy Jane is not made to last, it's made to showcase how much character there is in unfiltered beer.
