- The beer has a cloudy dark blond appearance.
- The beer has a slightly sour, malty and spicy scent. You also clearly notice a touch of oak, due to the aging in the barrel.
- A sweet and creamy start through maturation with a full-bodied, fruity mouthfeel. A fresh and sour aftertaste with notes of green apple. A sour with perfect sweet-sour balance.
Remarks
The Delirium Tremens beer has been in oak barrels for almost 1.5 years before being further matured in the tank, a good 3 years in the meantime. Unique in our opinion because you have a refreshing acidity and yet the characteristic fruitiness and maltiness of a Belgian tripel is still present in the background.
