  • The initial aroma is lightly smoky, plummy, and reminiscent of port. The scent is unusually fruity for a dark beer—dominated by plum, with hints of raisins and vanilla notes from oak barrels. Upon further exploration, you can detect various spices and dried fruits.
  • The flavor is very rich and intense. The lush taste blends chocolate and plums with vanilla-like spiciness. While the beginning is more fruity and juicy, the aftertaste becomes more liqueur-like, with hints of nuts, raisins, and a light roastiness. The finish leaves a pleasant warmth of alcohol.
