Remarks
A slight addition at bottling to ensure the stability and ageing of the wine. Aged between 12 and 15 months in concrete vats for a wine that unites roundness, freshness and balance.
Food pairings
Any kind of mediterranean food, from osso bucco to lasagna and pizza. A convincing barbecue wine, it would also pair with a beef tataki or more simply with a platter of ham and cheese and some talkative fellows.
Description
The ‘Galets’ range is a tribute to our terroir of rounded stones known as ‘Grès’ in Provence dialect. Modelled by the moraine of the Rhône glacier during Ice Age, the rocky hill it stems from characterizes our side of the Costières de Nîmes AOP, which faces the Rhône River. The wine is juicy and fruit-driven. A joyful bouquet of red berries, liquorice and violet complete its smooth mid-palate and fresh, perky tannins. A mineral finish that contributes to the balance of this wine.
