    Yellow gentian (gentiana lutea) is a mountain plant that is easy to spot in mountain pastures, with its long stem, thick leaves and narrow, bright yellow flowers. Its twisted, creeping roots traditionally produce a powerful aperitif when macerated in alcohol. The Carthusian monks have drawn on centuries of know-how and their acute knowledge of plants and herbs to produce this ‘off the beaten track’ gentian.
