  • Description
Crafted with four types of malt and just as many exotic spices, this deep brown ale has a distinctive and spirited personality. Herbaceous notes marked with black cherry and ripe fruit are joined by a hint of dark rum to complement the robust taste of the roasted malts. This beer commemorates Quebec’s Legend of the Black Horse, which tells of an equine incarnation of the devil enlisted by a priest in Trois-Pistoles to build the town church. The horse successfully completed the job—or nearly! It ran off when its bridle was accidentally removed and to this day a stone remains missing from the top of one of the church walls.
