    Quercegobbe is the name of a parcel located in the centre of the vineyards surrounding the Petra estate. On a gentle slope, well ventilated, with direct exposure to the sea and consisting of clay soils similar to those of Pomerol, an impressive Merlot matures here: Densely woven and of great aromatic persistence, with the typical varietal notes of berries and the warm spiciness typical of the Maremma. The wine matures partly in 600-litre barrels made of new oak, partly in used barriques and thus appears highly modern, but not overaged: juice and fruit retain the upper hand.
