    The Elixir is quite simply at the origin of the whole range of Chartreuse which result from it, it is an essential product for any self-respecting Chartreuse lover. Made by the Carthusian Fathers since 1764 according to the instructions of the Manuscript that their given to the Duke of Estrées in 1605, the Elixir Végétal contains 130 medicinal and aromatic plants. It is a digestive and a very effective tonic! Pour a few drops on a piece of sugar, in a little sugar water, as an infusion or as a grog.
