Château Badette 2018 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Famille Vandenbogaerde
The wine is aged in new oak barrels for 50% and the second year for 50%. Aging is estimated at 18 months. At 14% alcohol and a deep black-purple colour, it sings of crushed blueberries, warm plums and chocolate-covered cherries with a hint of cedar and tons of exotic spices - blackcurrant, fenugreek and star anise - plus a hint of forest floor. Full-bodied and richly fruity on the palate, it has a wonderful line of freshness, with finely grained tannins and a long finish with mineral undertones."
