So Hendrick's Lunar Gin 2021 takes the place of the Midsummer Solstice, which inspired the creations of the experimenters for two summers. What is the inspiration behind Hendrick's Neptunia Gin? Hendrick's Neptunia is much more than the sum of its parts; it's a gin inspired by Scotland's rugged coastline that captures the magic of the sea. Made at Hendrick's Gin Palace on the rugged Ayrshire coast in southwest Scotland, this gin is inspired by the poetic melody of the waves that enchant Ms. Gracie as she walks the beaches of the region. With a background in chemistry, experimentation and a fascination for botanical combinations, Ms. Gracie has developed a magical essence and captured it in a bottle as gin. And plants from the sea are an important part of the Hendrick's NEPTUNIA blend. There are many varieties of seaweed, each with its own unique flavor. To develop the liquid, we conducted initial tests with ten different seaweed species to determine which ones offered the best flavor profile. The chosen combination is composed of kelp and seaweed, which are found in the gin. We included the coastal thyme, and citrus, with the legend of the sea and its history in the background, so important to Lesley when she was blending it. What does Hendrick's Neptunia Gin taste like?
